 Subchondral Bone & Joint Support

EQUINE LEG ARMOR contains nutrients
to support all major joint components.

May be especially beneficial for horses suffering from the following conditions:

  • Arthritis/Degenerative Joint Disease
  • Bone Chips/OCD
  • Bone Bruising
  • Bone Cysts
  • Bone Spavin
  • Bucked Shins
  • Desmitis
  • DSLD/Dropped Fetlock
  • Physitis
  • Fractures
  • Navicular
  • Sesamoiditis
  • Weak Tendons/Ligaments
  • & More!

Leg injuries, whether they be to the bone or the joint can leave a horse sidelined with limited solutions available to the owner for rehabilitation of the injury.  Many people turn to injections or glucosamine & MSM, or even herbs to help them, usually resulting only in disappointment.  We have established a combination of nutrients to support the bodies natural ability to stimulate bone mineralization, referring specifically to a higher amount of nutrients being stored in the bone, improving bone strength and eliminating lameness.  We have also included nutrients that support the bodies natural ability to stimulate collagen synthesis in bone, joint and connective tissues, which are up to 90% collagen in dry weight.  It also focuses on supporting vasodilation, to be sure that improved blood flow is supported so nutrients may be delivered to areas of the body that may have poor circulation (For example, navicular and coffin bones in the foot are notorious for being negatively effected by poor circulation).

Within 3-6 weeks a lame horse owner should expect to see improvements in head bobbing, short striding, etc...  A full rehabilitative approach typically expected to last 4-5 months as the cellular process of remodeling new bone takes 4+ months,  Once the rehabilitative period is complete we recommend switching to half the feeding amount for general maintenance of healthy bone and joint tissue moving forward.
*For Tendon injuries, see “External Rub”.

Feeding Instructions:

For horses in rehabilitation in need of additional nutrient support, feed 2 scoops, twice daily, for 1,000 to 1,200 lbs. of body weight.
For more moderate situations, feed 1 scoop, twice daily.
For proactive or maintenance, feed 1/2 scoop, twice daily.

For younger animals, feed 1/2 scoop daily per 300 lbs. of body weight.
*We recommend feeding 2 scoops twice daily to any horse rehabilitating from an injury for about 4-5 months before reducing the feed rate by half.

1-Gallon Jar  2 oz per Serving  Approx ~ 60 Single Scoop Servings
3.5-Gallon Bucket  2 oz per Serving  Approx ~ 210 Single Scoop Servings
5-Gallon Bucket  2 oz per Serving  Approx ~300 Single Scoop Servings

Note:  Initial improvements are often seen in just 3-6 weeks.  Feed horses in rehabilitation 4 scoops daily for several months before cutting back to a general maintenance level.
More specifically, the one gallon size of Equine Leg Armor is not meant for horses in rehabilitation.  There are 60 servings in a container and MUST be fed at 4 scoops daily (you simply cannot just make up your own rules and expect it to work).  With that said, a gallon with last 2 weeks at this feed rate and it will take 3-6 weeks to BEGIN seeing results, which would require 2-3 gallons at minimum to make your initial judgement.
Full results are typically seen at 3-4 MONTHS, please take this information into consideration when purchasing.
The one gallon size is intended to be a budget friendly size for those wishing to feed 1 scoop daily for maintenance/proactive bone and joint health with a smaller initial expense, not for rehabilitation.

All better

I have two Mini that have had several laminitis experiences from their previous owner. They both have been doing well and have been here for 2 years. I just thought I would try leg armor to see if it would be additional support. I’m sure glad I did! Henry and Zinna are moving with more fluidity and I see them in parts of the property that I never use too.
Thank you for this wonderful product.

Leg Armor

The product does exceptionally well for my 30+ horse who needs the extra support all around. Since I started feeding the leg armor in conjunction with his feed and other supplements, I can already see a difference. His limp that has been there forever seems to be gone! Fist time in a very long time.
